The Private Life of Plants by David Attenborough/BBC

Those familiar with BBC wildlife series featuring David Attenborough will know the high quality that his involvement guarantees, and this book is another of the highest calibre.

The six chapters of this book are themed to focus upon various aspects of plant ecology: Travelling, Feeding an Growing, Flowering, The Social Struggle, Living Together & Surviving. Through these 6 themes, the narration talks readers through remarkable examples of plant evolution throughout the world.

Some incredible photographs illustrate the relationships that plants have with each other and, most remarkably, the relationship flowering plants have with their pollinators, be they insect, bird or mammal.

The text follows David Attenborough's on-screen style, making The Private Life of Plants enjoyable for readers of all interests.

Considering the low price this publication is available for on Amazon.com (The Private Life of Plants) it is hard to resist adding it to ones wildlife book collection.
